1. Size Selection: Use appropriate widths for different body parts. Upper limbs typically require small (7.5cm), middle parts (10cm), and large areas (15cm).
2. Application: Dressing should support circulation and counteract venous pressure without being overstressed.
3. Flat Dressing: Ensure the bandage is wrapped flat without wrinkles, especially at joints, to avoid compression issues.
4. Timing: Best applied before getting up in the morning when venous blood is minimized in the limbs. Wrap from the foot upwards with a two-thirds overlap.
